Taz Mattar
Posted under .
Taz’s recording career grew out of a love of music and being lucky enough to do work experience at Presshouse Studios in Devon, (Martin Barre of Jethro Tull’s fame, recording studios), at the age of 15. He then studied at The School of Audio Engineering in Glasgow until he moved to London and started working at a number of small project studios, before finding a place at Sarm West Studios.
During his time at Sarm he was able to work with a diverse range of artists and producers. After gaining experience as an Assistant Engineer, he then began working as an in-house Engineer. Training under producers such as Trevor Horn, Danton Supple, Julian Mendlessohn and Steve Lipson, amongst others.
Taz works now on a freelance basis and also works out of his own small studio at home, working on small projects under the umbrella of Egg Salad Studio. He also writes music, produces, records and mixes.
